When do I need a lawyer?
We recommend you consult an attorney if your insurance company:
- Denies insurance coverage exists;
- States your claim is excluded or subject to a partial exclusion under your policy;
- Denies part of your claim;
- Delays the adjustment of your claim or delays payment of your claim;
- Makes misleading or false statements to you;
- Withholds payments for losses under one type of coverage, to try to force you to settle claims under other types of coverage;
- Makes what you believe to be low estimates, low offers and/or low payments;
- Advises you against hiring third parties, including public adjusters or attorneys;
- Requests a release as a condition to settle your claim;
- Your insurer's checks or correspondence indicate the payment is "full" or "final" and you have, or think you have, additional claims pending.
If your insurer takes any of the above actions, call the Wells Law Group. We help people and businesses like you.
